We love to read!
Jenna (For the love of baby) is having a giveaway! It's book called Archibald's Swiss Cheese Mountain. This would be the perfect book for Mackenzie because she LOVES cheese. Reading to her is my favorite thing to do with her. That is our special time together before going to bed. Mackenzie loves to rock and read with me. She is starting to finish the sentences, and with a lot of enthusiasm I might add. It's so cute to watch her learn new things. I really want to win this giveaway! Being back in full swing of nursing school doesn't leave me with much time for baby play. It kills me to have to study all the time but I know it's only for a little while longer. 2 quarters left! Then I will have all the time in the world to spend with her.

Christmas and other ramblings
I have been working on this post for a week!! Can you tell I'm back in school? It makes me feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Seriously. It's going to be one crazy quarter and I can't wait until it's over!
What do you want to read about? Hmm, how about Christmas!
What an amazing Christmas we had! It was a white one for sure. Christmas Eve was spent with Mimi, Papa, and Uncle Jason. For dinner we had vegetarian spaghetti which was fabulous by the way. That should mean a lot coming from a true carnivore. Matt's family open gifts on Christmas Eve so that is what we did and we let Santa steal the thunder for Christmas morning. Mackenzie made out like a bandit! She got a very cute toy vacuum that makes vacuuming noises and plays songs. She loves it! She got a new outfit for her doll, washable stamps, clothes, shoes, very cute stuffed unicorn and dragon, and tons of other stuff. After opening up every gift she had to actually get the toy out of the box and play with it before opening up another gift. It was so cute to watch. Christmas morning she woke up to see a tricycle and huge blocks from Santa. He also brought her some bath toys. Here are some pictures from Christmas!
In other news, Mackenzie is talking up a storm. The other day she was walking around the house with her play phone and her "conversation" went like this..."Hewo. Um. Yeah. So." It made me laugh so hard. She had the little valley girl like tone, it was so funny. She is starting to copy what we say, especially if one of us is on the phone. She was in size 3 shoes for the longest time and now all of a sudden she is in a 5. She skipped the 4's. Same with her pj's, straight from 9months to 18months. Someone stop time, please.
We have been having some sleeping issues again and I'm wondering if she is teething. She has been drooling so much and not sleeping. Last night was better though. Matt and I both are sleep deprived right now. Fun times.
She has two little boyfriends at daycare. She always asks for Ty and gives him hugs. But there is also Aiden that she pats on the back to wake up from his nap and she holds hands with him too. I think it's too early to be doing this so I am going to sit down and have a heart to heart chat with her. :) Yeah right. When you ask her anything about daycare her reply is "TY!"
Well that is about it for now. Sorry to bore you with such a long post! I can't believe how long it took me to get this posted. Oh, another recipe coming soon per request!

Christmas Eve, the first present.
Do you think she likes the tricycle?
