Tuesday Ramblings

Yesterday I was surprised to walk outside at 7am to find it to be 47 degrees outside. I needed my winter coat! I thought summer was coming to an end, until I left work at it was about 67 degrees. I've even started to notice the leaves falling. Then today it turns out to be 87 degrees but still chilly this morning. I have to say that this cold then hot thing does not make it easy to plan Mackenzie's wardrobe for the day. Poor kid is either going to be freezing or sweating.

This weekend is going to be super busy for me. It starts Thursday. Thursday I work, then rehearsal dinner for a wedding I'm in. Friday I am so excited to spend some time with my friend Kat. It's been a while since we've gotten some girl time.

Back to what the weekend will be like....Saturday I get to help prep all the food for the wedding, then pedicures, and then finishing up prepping food. It will be an all day affair. Sunday is the wedding. We start getting ready at 10am, the ceremony is at 4pm....I think. I told you it was going to be busy! I have never been in a wedding except for when I was a little girl. This is totally new to me. I threw the bachelorette party this last weekend, it was so much fun. Any tips for helping keep the bride calm? I remember my wedding......that's all I will say about that.

Last weekend we had a lot of fun. I had the bachelorette party and then we got to see some friends. We love our friends so much. Can't forget the hair appointment I had to sass up my style a bit. I also love my hair stylist. She rocks. If only she were free on Sunday to style my hair.

I would love to spend more time playing with all my scrapbooking supplies. The last thing I did was put "Kenzie" up on Mackenzie's wall. And I made a tissue paper pom pom. I used my cricut expression for the letters and I think it turned out super cute. Like I said in my previous post, summer has been very busy for us. I do have some different projects that I'm working on. Hopefully I'll get to work on them soon!

Summer Fun!

We have been super busy this summer! It seems like we have something going on every weekend and not enough time to get everything done. We've been having lots of fun though! One of my highlights was meeting up with a friend that I haven't seen in ages and letting our little ones meet and play together. We spent the day at the zoo, it was great!

We've also been going to some summer festivals that have been going on. The weather has been pretty good and I'm hoping it stays that way! We've been working on getting our yard looking better and met with a landscaper the other night. We just don't have the time to pull all the overgrown weeds! Do you have any tips on keeping your yard looking nice?

Where do we go?

I know it's been a while and it seems as though I have abandoned my blog. I really haven't! I just feel like my blog is boring and I want it to be interesting to you guys. I started this to keep my family updated on all things pregnancy and then all things Mackenzie. I'm just not sure where it's going. I know I've mentioned this before but I'm getting a lot of spam comments even though I have the word verification set up. Do you think it would be a hassle to make this a "by invite only" blog? I will be updating more as we have been doing some super fun things this summer. I have some craft projects I've been working on too that I would love to share with you! What are your thoughts?

Here are some pictures from the 4th. The weather was overcast and cold. But, we still had a great time with our friends. Mackenzie actually enjoyed the fireworks this year. She got to wear some special ear protection to muffle out the sound. She looked silly but she had fun. Matt showed her how to blow a marshmallow out of a handmade marshmallow gun. And, she really enjoyed helping me make dump cake.
