So I gave Mac a bite of that canned cranberry sauce, which by the way she just loved. Only a bite and this is what the sugar did to her. What a talkative baby we had for a while.

6 Month Update

Mackenzie had her 6 month well baby check up this week. She weighed in at 13lbs 12oz and is now 25 3/4 long. Her doctor said she is right on track developmentally and will probably be crawling in the next week. We can see she's getting close! Last night she started getting up on her knees for a second or two. Other things she has mastered are sitting up, rolling all over the place, and stage 1 foods. She LOVES all fruits, especially pears and prunes. She hates greens. She also likes sweet potatoes and squash. She loves to grab everything that you are holding. She is also getting better at sleeping through the night. It's been a little hard since she seems to have a cold all the time. Thanks to daycare. So, it's time to really start babyproofing the house. The doctor also said we can give her cheerios. We tried that and decided it be best to break them in half for right now. She doesn't know to put them in her mouth just yet. Mackenzie is also little miss vocal and it seems like she's singing all the time. The one thing that melts my heart is when I pick her up after a changing, she'll put her hand on my cheek and give me the most awesome baby kiss. It's like her way of saying "thank you." It is so sweet. Mackenzie also has waved, just once though real good. She's learning that's for sure.

I got to wear 2 costumes! Only because mommy had already bought the penguin one when my daycare asked her to dress me as a pumpkin for a contest. Mommy couldn't get herself to take the other one back, I guess I just looked too cute in it. ;)
